Description


Tour de Las Misiones is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to visit and learn about the historic San Antonio Missions. This Bike Ride Tour, Walk, and Run will feature enlightening activities throughout your chosen course. All events will begin and end at Mission county Park Pavilion.

What to Expect:
Registration deadline is Wednesday, August 21, 2024.  Commemorative bib, finisher’s medal, collectible T-shirt, goodie bag, and keepsake passport to the San Antonio Missions are guaranteed to participants that register by the August 21st deadline.
Photos will be posted at worldheritagefestival.org.  Music and complimentary food and beverages will be served post-event for registered participants.

Organized by the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office, in partnership with San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, SATX Social Ride, America’s Walking Club (AVA), South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM), and IAAPWEB.

Bike Ride Tour:
The Bike Ride Tour will kick off with a guided 7-, 14-, or 22-mile bike ride tour of the southside of San Antonio and The Alamo, stopping at one or all the missions.
Safety Tips: This Bike Ride is not a race and can be completed on an open road with motor vehicles. All riders must follow the rules of the road and all regulations as defined in the Texas vehicle code. Participants must follow all instructions of law enforcement and/or fire officials, public safety vehicles always have the right of way. Riders are encouraged to wear bike helmets on the course and buckled. We strongly suggest bringing at least two water bottles.

5K and 10K Run: 
The Run will start with an organized chipped timed race where registered participants will enjoy a 5K or 10K run through the scenic San Antonio River Walk: Mission Reach, San José, and the southside of San Antonio.
Safety Tips: When running on an open road, all runners must follow the rules of the road and all regulations as defined in the Texas vehicle code. Participants must follow all instructions of law enforcement and/or fire officials, public safety vehicles always have the right of way. We strongly suggest bringing at least two water bottles.

5K and 10K Walk:
Registered participants will enjoy a 5K or 10K walk through the scenic San Antonio River Walk: Mission Reach, Mission San José, and Hot Well Ruins.
Safety Tips: When walking on an open road, all walkers must follow the rules of the road and all regulations as defined in the Texas vehicle code. Participants must follow all instructions of law enforcement and/or fire officials, public safety vehicles always have the right of way. We strongly suggest bringing at least two water bottles.

Things to consider when Touring the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park:
Mission San Jose grounds are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The grounds of the Missions San Juan, Concepcion, and Espada are open from sunrise to sunset. Bicycle riding is not allowed on any of the Missions compounds, including The Alamo - participants must dismount and walk their bicycles in. Do not place or lean bicycles on the Mission structures, buildings, or fixtures, bike racks will be available. For reverence, all stereos playing music must be turned off before entering any of the Missions compounds. Dogs are allowed in the park; however, no pets are allowed inside the visitor center, contact stations, or mission churches. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Adults 18 & up $55
Youth 12 to 14 - $25 flat rate
Youth 5 to 11 - $20 flat rate

Run 5K/10K:
Adults 18 & up $45
Youth 17 & under - $20 flat rate

Walk 5K/10K:
Adults 18 & up $40
Youth 13 to 17 - $20 flat rate
Youth 12 & under – Free
