Sights & Sounds of Christmas 5K & 1K Jingle Bell Run

The Sights & Sounds of Christmas 5K and 1k Jingle Bell Run will be held Saturday December 5th, 2015 at 9:00 am. Our course will showcases the beautiful downtown and historic district of San Marcos. The course is mostly flat with some gentle slopes and one small grade hill. The race will begin and finish at the San Marcos Plaza Park. Chip timing will be used. Every 5K and 1K entrant will receive a high quality shirt (If registered by Nov 30th). Race packets can be picked up at Sights and Sounds festival each night 6-close and Dec 4th 10:30am am-3:30 pm at the main gate entrance. If you pick up your packet at the festival ( got to the volunteer tent to the left of the main gates) there is a free entry ticket to get in if you plan to stay. Go to the volunteer tent to the left of the main gates to get your packet if you are not planning on staying at the festival and just want your packet. We will bring it to you.

We are trying something new this year. We are offering "Drive-thru" packet pick up on Dec 4th 10:30-3:30. You will see signs directing you into the Chamber of Commerce front parking lot. Pull thru to the farthest spot and provide your name. We will bring your packet to you and then you can drive back on to where you need to go. If you need to register another runner then please park in the area we have desgnated for that. It is opposite of the parking "drive-thru" on the left side of the main gate entrance if you are facing it. You can park, register whom ever, get your packet, and get any questions answered you may have.

We will provide runners with a few Jingle Bells. The 5K awards ceremony will follow the completion of the 1K race with a unique Santa trophy to top finishers in each five-year age group for male and female. Door prizes will be given out during the ceremony for the runners! We have streamlined the awards ceremony to cut down the time it takes to get through the awards and drawings.

Each 1K entry will receive a trophy for completion of the course as well!
