Help Us Fill the Shelves. Feed Our Community. Share Compassion.
At Real Life Community Outreach, we believe no family should have to wonder where their next meal will come from.
Rising costs and everyday challenges continue to make it difficult for many families to consistently put food on the table. Cans for Compassion brings our community together to help meet that need by collecting food and financial donations to provide essential food assistance to families across Northeast Bexar County and surrounding communities.
Our goal is to provide 1,000,000 pounds of food assistance to families who need it most.
Whether you donate online, become a drop-off location, or drop off food at one of our participating locations, your contribution makes a difference. Every can collected, every dollar donated, and every person who gets involved helps put food on a family's table.
Every Can Counts. Every Donation Matters. Every Act of Compassion Makes a Difference.
Join us in making sure our neighbors have access to the food they need. Together, we can fill the shelves, strengthen our community, and serve with compassion.
Three Ways to Participate
Donate to our Virtual Drive
Your generosity fuels compassion in action. By giving to our virtual food drive, you help provide nutritious meals and tangible hope to families in need across our community. Every dollar directly supports Real Life Community Outreach’s mission to serve with compassion and empower people to build better lives.
Become a Drop-Off Location
Whether you’re an individual looking to make a difference or part of a group, church, school, or organization, you can multiply your impact by becoming a drop-off location. It’s a simple yet powerful way to rally your community, collect non-perishable items, and spread compassion!
If interested in hosting, please email mconant@reallife.org for next steps.
Drop Off Food
If you already have items to donate, simply drop them off at any of our designated collection points. Every donated can, box, or bag makes a compassionate impact. Check the list of drop-off locations and hours below— your contribution goes directly to helping local families.
