Odyssey SwimRun Austin Course Preview

YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE MAIN RACE TO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE PREVIEW

Join us Saturday, Oct 17, 2020 for an informal course preview just weeks before the inaugural Odyssey SwimRun Austin at Pace Bend Park. This preview includes a course talk prior to the official start of the event explaining what each athlete should expect to encounter during the preview and the race itself. We will have a brief Q&A as well. We will set the markings for the long course but athletes may do whatever they want (long, short, make up your own course, whatever you wish).

The main point of this preview is to build some swimrun experience BEFORE race day and get people to the venue and experience the terrain.  This year the entry fee to this preview is taken care of by Odyssey. The only thing we ask is that you bring a personal flotation device/buoy, and be ready to carry and water and gels/food.

If you don't have a flotation buoy and need to purchase one here's a link. They are reusable and last a long time. We require all Solo athletes to have them during our races but for the actual race (not preview) we provide a complimentary rental to each athlete. Athletes only need to worry about having their own with them for this course preview.

Additionally, restrooms (limited) and hydration/nutrition (limited) will be available onsite. Please keep in mind if you have special needs with nutrition you are responsible for your own special needs. Also note that the hydration/nutrition stops will not be as plentiful throughout the course as they will be on race day so you need to pack and bring what you need.
