OEC Fun Run

Join OEC Nguyen Foundation for our 3rd Annual Fun Run on February 15, 2025!

Event Details

• Date: February 15, 2025
• Start Time: 8:00am CST
• Distances: 5K and Kid's 1K
• Location: Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

• When: Friday, February 14, 2025 10am - 6pm
• Where: Fleet Feet Sugar Land, 15890 Southwest Fwy #600, Sugar Land, TX 77478

Race Day Packet Pickup

If you are not able to pickup your packet on Friday, we will provide packet pickup the morning of the race from 7:00 - 7:45am. 

Course

The course will run a little differently this year. We will go around the lake first before heading down University Blvd towards UofH. It will start at the main pavillion (next to playground), down University Blvd to the lake, left around the lake, left down University to U of H, u-turn and straight back down to the finish line. Runners will walk straight into the pavillion after they finish. 

Parking

There will be plenty of parking by the main pavillion.

Race Day Timeline

8:00 AM – National Anthem/Prayer

8:05 - Kids 1K

8:20 - 5K

9:30 - Awards to Top 3 male and Top 3 female

Misc

• 5K is chip timed.
• Kid’s 1K is chip timed. 
• Parents may accompany kids on Kid's 1K. Each kid will be given a prize when they cross the finish line along with a medal!
• No pets on the course.
• Strollers are welcome.
• There will be firetrucks, firefighters, food, raffle drawing and live music after the fun run!
• Each registration for the 5K and Kids 1K includes finisher's medal, t-shirt, and 1 ticket for breakfast taco after the run!

Inclement Weather

The event will be held rain or shine. However, should additional weather conditions prevail race day that it is deemed unsafe for runners and volunteers, the run will be cancelled and all fees will be donated to the OEC Nguyen Foundation. The race will not be rescheduled for 2025.
