ABOUT US:
Fort Bend Seniors (FBS) is one of Fort Bend County’s oldest non-profit organizations and was formed in 1974. By 1976, the program became a non-profit organization 501(c)(3), and in 1981, Fort Bend Seniors joined the United Way of Texas Gulf Coast. The agency added Waller County to its service area in 1990 and today covers close to 1,000 square miles. FBS is accredited through the Meals on Wheels Association of America as a Certified Nutritional Program.
Fort Bend Seniors now provides Meals on Wheels services over 400,000 meals to approximately 2,200 seniors annually. Fort Bend Seniors is the only organization that provides Meals on Wheels to all persons 60 years of age and over regardless of income in Fort Bend or Waller Counties.
Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels serves all eligible senior citizens age 60 and over living in Fort Bend and Waller Counties. For all active seniors, we provide hot meals and daily recreation activities at 8 congregate center locations throughout both counties. For home-bound seniors, we provide daily and weekly hot meal deliveries throughout Fort Bend and Waller Counties through a network of staff and volunteer drivers.
