6K4WATER

6K4WATER is a 6K run/walk to raise money for WATERMISSION.org who dig wells for third world communities.   

Our first year, we raised over $5,000 for water mission.org.  We have so far raised in excess of $33,000 over the 6 years we have been hosting the race.

2.1 billion people lack access to safe water and many women must walk 6 kilometers every day just to gain access to the unsafe water they are able to find.  

842,000 people die every year globally due to inadequate drinking water, sanitation and hygiene -  That's approx 2,300 per day, which is one person every 37 seconds.
