The 13.1 mile single-loop race goes through the twin cities of Texarkana, AR and Texarkana, TX. The race starts in downtown Texarkana, TX and finishes in Texarkana, AR. The course includes two park asphalt trails and residential neighborhoods on city streets. The finish line is downtown at 3rd and Wood Streets in front of the Hopkins Ice House about 4 blocks from the start.
It's a unique opportunity to run in one half marathon in Texas and Arkansas on a USATF certified (#AR09010DLP) single-loop course! We will apply to be in the prestigious 2019 Arkansas Grand Prix Series when the bidding opens this fall. Information about the series is available at www.arkrrca.com.
A portion of the course is on the Texas/Arkansas state line. The race includes chip timing and 2-person and 4-person relay teams. Enjoy our post-race celebration at the finish line with sponsored hamburgers, chicken, veggie burgers, and beverages. Sponsored food and beverages are included for all race runners and walkers.

Start: The race starts at 7:30 a.m. for all runners and walkers with starting waves based on estimated mile time. There is no early start. Look for Pace Groups with 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, and 2:30 signs at the start. Starting line GPS location: 201 W. Broad Street, Texarkana, TX. The course closes at 11:30 a.m. For participant safety and official race timing, finish the race by 11:30 a.m.
Course & Maps: Four miles of the course are on two 10-ft wide asphalt park trails with the remainder on coned off city streets. The course has several long hills... watch out for the Arkansas Blvd hill. Seven water stops; six restrooms near miles 2, 4, 6.5, 8, 10 and 12; multiple police officers; and 70+ volunteers are stationed along the course. Several musical entertainers are also on the course. Two Gear Drop-Off Locations: Prior to the race start, runners & walkers may drop off gear inside the Bi-State Justice Building adjacent to the start. The second gear drop-off location is just past the 1-mile marker. Put your name on your gear. Do not drop off valuables. Gear from the two drop-off locations will be brought to the finish line and set inside the Hopkins Ice House on or near the shuffleboard table. Gear dropped off at any other location on the course will not be brought to the finish line. We will do our best to get all gear from the two drop-off locations to the finish line. We are not responsible for belongings that are dropped off or items that are brought to the finish line.
General Registration Information: Race participants must be at least 13 years old on race day. Race participants may not have strollers or dogs (except service dogs) on the race course. The entry fee is non-refundable for any reason. Bad weather may result in delays or cancellation.
Packet Pick-up & Late Registration: Packet pick-up and late registration are Friday, February 15 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Racquet & Jog, 3435 Richmond Road, Texarkana, TX. Racquet & Jog is located on the north side of the building. Late registration is online only. Four tablets will be available for registration or bring your tablet to register. There is no paper registration. Registration payment at packet pick-up is by credit card, check, or cash. To pick-up your packet, bring an electronic or paper copy of your Registration Confirmation and Bib Number. Packet pick-up stations are in Bib Number order.
Race Day Packet-Up and Late Registration: Race Day packet pick-up is from 6:15 a.m. to 7:10 a.m. downtown inside the Bi-State Justice Building at Broad and Main Streets. Enter at the west end of the building. Race day registration is also from 6:15 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Registration is online only. We will have four tablets available for registration or bring your tablet or smart phone to register. There is no paper registration. Race Day registration payment is by credit card, check, or cash. To pick up your packet, bring an electronic or paper copy of your Registration Confirmation and Bib Number. Packet pick-up stations are in Bib Number order.
Two Ladies' and two Men's restrooms are available inside the Bi-State Justice Building on the 1st floor. Multiple outdoor port-a-potties are available at the west end of the Bi-State Justice Building.
Proxy Packet Pick-Up: Participants are encouraged to pick-up their packets on Friday or Saturday. A friend or family member may serve as your proxy to pick-up your packet. Your proxy must have a paper or electronic copy of both your Registration Confirmation and your driver's license to pick up your packet. Your proxy needs to know your Bib number. Packet pick-up stations are in Bib Number order.

Medal: The fabulous 2019 Finisher Medal for all race finishers will be posted soon! The neck ribbon text contains the race date and "RTL Half Marathon & Relays". Runners and walkers finishing by 11:30 a.m. receive a finisher's medal.
Awards: Awards for the Top three female and male finishers Overall, Master, Grand Master, and Senior will be presented in the Hopkins Ice House on the stage at 10:30 a.m. Top three female and male Overall Finishers receive $100 gift certificates. Only one award per person.
Awards for the Top three places for female and male in all age groups: 13-19, 20-24, and every five years thereafter to 80+; Top female and male walkers; Top three places for 2-person relay teams; Top three places for 4-person relay teams can be picked up from volunteers manning tables to the left in the Hopkins Ice House as the results are printed and available. Only one award per person.
Host Hotels: Host hotel information will be posted soon. Special rates will be available only by calling the hotels to make a reservation and requesting rooms reserved for the Run the Line Half Marathon.
T-Shirt: Runners, walkers, and relay teams receive the same shirt. Sizes range from Small to XX-Large.
Driving Directions and Parking: The race starting line is at the intersection of Main & Broad Streets. Starting line GPS location: 201 W. Broad Street, Texarkana, TX. Please do not park in a church parking lot on Sunday morning.
Directions from IH-30: Exit Stateline Avenue and go south approximately 3 miles. Go around the Post Office and continue on Stateline Avenue for three blocks. The starting line is one block to your right on Broad Street. Park in any open parking lots, or on Broad Street, or on Front Street one block south of Broad Street. Please do not park in a church parking lot.
Directions from IH-549: Take the Texas Loop and exit South Stateline. Turn right onto South Stateline Avenue. Exit 3rd Street to the right. Turn right onto Stateline Avenue and park in any open parking areas, or on Broad Street, or on Front Street one block south of Broad Street. The starting line is one block south on Stateline Avenue and one block to your right on Broad Street. Please do not park in a church parking lot.
Registration wills open soon for the Kids Run the Line Too! The 1-mile run/walk event will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 4:00 p.m. on the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System campus starting at the Health & Fitness Center. Kids 5 through 12 years old run or walk 12.1 miles during the weeks prior to the event with adult sign-off. All participating kids are winners with a t-shirt, finisher medal, and racing bib.
