A local Thanksgiving morning tradition, YMCA Run Thru the Woods has supported local non-profits with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities for 36 years. The event brings thousands of community members together for entertainment and run/walks designed for all ages. Over the years, more than $4 million dollars has been raised.

The Woodlands Family YMCA Annual Campaign – The YMCA Annual Campaign helps everyone, regardless of age, income or background, have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y. Programs include life-saving swim lessons, after school care, support services/outreach programs, summer day camp and youth sports.

Due to the exciting growth and record participation at last year's event, we are adjusting our event operations. To ensure a smooth, safe, and on-time start for everyone, we will no longer be offering race day packet pickup.
Every step taken at YMCA Run Thru the Woods helps strengthen our community. Thanks to the incredible support of runners, walkers, sponsors and donors, more than $4 million has been raised over the past three decades to provide life-changing programs for local children and families while also supporting other impactful Montgomery County charities.
Your donation helps ensure that everyone has access to the YMCA, regardless of financial circumstances. Contributions directly support life-saving swim lessons, after school care, summer camp, youth sports, outreach initiatives and programs that empower youth development, healthy living and social responsibility throughout our community. Together, we are investing in stronger families, healthier kids and a brighter future for Montgomery County.
