The Beast of the Brazos, an open-water swim event in Waco, TX, celebrates its 7th anniversary with 750 meter, 1.2 mile and 2.4 mile distances mirroring a full IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Waco courses. All registered participants will receive a swim cap, dri-fit shirt, and finisher’s medal.

Age Group Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in each non-wetsuit age group category.

If you intend to switch from the wetsuit to non-wetsuit category on race morning, there is no penalty -- but you must inform race staff before packet pick-up and registration closes the morning of the event at the Registration & Packet Pick-Up Tent.  Please consult the event schedule for exact packet pick-up times on race day to ensure any changes are submitted on time. 

If the water temperature is above 90 degrees, the course will be abbreviated for safety reasons.

All sales are considered final. We do not offer refunds for any events sold through RunSignUp by the Greater Waco Sports Commission. This policy includes if the event is impacted or canceled due to weather, a natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances. The race director reserves the right to cancel or amend the event due to severe weather.
