Description
A Do-Si-Do is a square-dance figure where the dancers circle each other. So what is a Do-Si-Do Relay?
How it works:
Two teammates (any mix of male and female) start at the same time, in opposite directions, on a 5K loop course. They meet somewhere near the middle, do-si-do, and run back in the direction from which they came. Teams finish when both runners, coming from opposite directions, make it back to the finish line. Combined they run 10K. Individually?
Example: Say I run faster than my teammate. By the time we meet, maybe I had run 3K and my partner 2K. We meet, hand off our baton while reversing directions (Do-Si-Do), and run back the same way we came. I will run the same 3K back and my partner will run the same 2K back. At the finish, I have run 6K and my teammate has run 4K. Together we ran a 10K. Since all runners will be running at different speeds, you don’t know beforehand how far you will run individually.
Your team's finish time will be the sum of your individual times.
How do I signup as a Team
You are required to join a team during registration. If you are the first member of the team to register, then you will need to create the Team. Both team members can register at the same time or the second member can register separately and join your partners Team.
Don't have a teammate?
Go ahead and register anyway and check the "I need a Teammate" box and we will try to match you up with someone else who is looking for a teammate.

Wednesday, May 24 from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
Keep Waco Beautiful
We will be picking up trash in the Redwood Shelter area immediately following the Do-Si-Do Relay.
The club will be supplying the Pizza, you are asked to bring a beverage of your choice.
Awards
This is a free club event with no awards.
However, we will be recognizing the most unusual baton. So be creative and bring your own baton for your team to exchange.
