YMCA VIRTUAL 5K COLOR RUN 2020

Join the YMCA of Central Texas and participate in our Virtual LiveStrong at the YMCA Family 5K Fun Color Run during Cancer Survivor’s Month!  All proceeds from this race support our LiveStrong at the Y program, which helps cancer survivors gain strength, stamina and endurance.

Our virtual 5K will be hosted for 2 weeks in June, which gives you flexibility on when you’d like to run or walk!  Take a selfie and send it to us at the end of your 5K with the sign we provide saying “I Run For ___________”.  Once you complete your race, we will send you your race shirt!

The YMCA of Central Texas strives to offer free programming to cancer survivors with the purpose of restoring healthy mind, body and spirit. The YMCA COLOR RUN is a fundraiser for the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. Cancer touches nearly every life—either directly or through a relative or friend. Although the diagnosis may be scary, advances in treatment allow us to celebrate that more survivors are winning this battle. Many survivors struggle to return to a normal life or define their “new normal.” To help them, the YMCA of Central Texas offers LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a program designed to help cancer survivors regain strength, balance and stamina. At the Y, we believe cost should not be a barrier to survivors reclaiming their fitness levels and receiving needed support. Therefore, every survivor participates free of charge. In addition, their family members receive a free three-month membership to the Y while their loved ones are enrolled in LIVESTRONG at the YMCA. Proceeds from this event will help support the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program.
