Description

A Virtual 5K Fun Run or Walk in your costumes and masks to benefit the homeless of Ellis County, TX. You can participate from anywhere in the world, at anytime, and run or walk at your convenience. We encourage you to get up and moving for a great cause in your house, yard, park, gym, or anywhere you want to get active. But if you are unable to do that, get in your costume and masks and take your picture celebrating our event with us by just being yourself! Then post your time when you are finished. Be sure to post a picture or 15 second video to share with others on this website, Daniel's Den Facebook and Instagram pages, our website https://Danielsdenelliscounty.org,and spookouthomelessness@gmail.com. Also you can contact us by sending us a message through this event page. Pets are welcome. Have fun alone or with your team and support Daniel's Den and Samaritan's House of Ellis County. Raise more donations with peer to peer fundraising and challenging your team to raise the most.  Prizes will be given after the end of the event for the captain of the largest team, most donations raised, most distant participant from Waxahachie,TX, and first to complete and post their race. Have fun raising support for the homeless! All proceeds will benefit Daniel's Den INC and support services for our homeless friends. This year has left many without jobs and forced friends and family into homelessness who now need our compassion and support to get back on track with their lives.

Daniel's Den of Ellis County, TX is a not-for-profit 501C (3), faith-based agency providing emergency assistance to people in our county, travelers and residents.Our mission is to restore and strengthen the lives of the homeless in Ellis County through a closer relationship with God and mentoring. Emergency assistance in the form of transportation needs, food, clothing, or emergency shelter is available. Transitional housing is available at Samaritan's House to single women, single women with children, and legally married couples with children for an average of 6 months providing food, transportation, job training and educational need, medical and spiritual care, and day care when needed. Over 40% of our clients are children.
