Description
The Deaf-initely Can 5K and Fun Run is a run/walk event that benefits students attending the Wichita Falls
Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. Your participation supports:
- Fund field trips for preschoolers-seniors to build vocabulary from real-life experiences,
- Support teens in competitions with other students across the state,
- Supply extra learning materials for students and families throughout the year,
- Sponsor workshops for parents and educators to improve communication strategies and support,
- Fund transportation for students to attend cultural events and community activities,
- Provide technology like hearing aids and assistive devices to help students thrive in the classroom,
- Organize social events to help Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students build friendships and peer support.
Wichita Falls Regional Day School Program for the Deaf serves over 100 Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students
across Region 9, including Wichita Falls ISD, Burkburnett ISD, and neighboring SSAs. Your support helps us
provide language-rich experiences from infancy through high school.
Your registration includes a shirt!
Current RDSPD Deaf Ed families & WFISD staff receive a discount. Contact us for the coupon code!

Who can sign up?
Anyone!
When is Packet Pick Up?
Packet pick-up will happen on the evening of April 4th. Location TBD.
Where is the 5K & Fun Run?
Legacy High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. We'll have it marked and posted on Facebook before the race!
Can I register on the day of the event?
Of course! However, we cannot guarantee that you will get the correct size shirt. Shirts will be available until we run out.
Will you have Chip Timers?
We will not have Chip Timers this year.
Will there be things for kids to do?
Of course! We will have sidewalk chalk and a bubble station.
Do I have to run?
No, you can if you want though!
Are animals permitted?
Unfortunately, animals are not permitted to attend this event.
