The Courses for the 2026 Taco The Town!
Check out the course for the 1K, 5K & 10K! It will be a closed course that traverses the levees and utilizes Whistler Way and AG Spanos Blvd. And don't worry—we've strategically placed tacos and beer at the finish line to make sure every step is worth it! 🌮🍺
The 1K route takes you through Baxter Park and back around—basically a victory lap before you hit the taco stand! This course allows you to see your little ones from the park, so you can cheer them on (and maybe distract them with promises of tacos). You are more than welcome to walk it with them. Who knows, maybe they'll run faster if they know there's a taco reward waiting at the finish line!
Get ready for an epic adventure on our closed course – thanks to the amazing Stockton Police Department for keeping us safe and sound! You'll cruise along the scenic levees, soaking in those gorgeous waterways that make Stockton so special. The route wraps around near Grider Way before bringing you back home to Baxter Park, where the real celebration begins.
And here's the best part: when you cross that finish line, you won't just find a medal and a high-five. Oh no. We're talking tacos – glorious, delicious tacos in every variety you can imagine. Carnitas? Check. Al pastor? You bet. Veggie options? Absolutely. And because we believe in proper post-race recovery, there's cold beer waiting to help you toast your incredible accomplishment.
So lace up those running shoes, conquer those levees, and sprint toward the finish line knowing that taco heaven and a frosty beverage await. Your taste buds will thank you almost as much as your legs will appreciate that cold one!
The claim to fame! The 10K is a beast of a run, so you can feast and have fun! Following some of the same spectacular parts of the course as the 5K, the 10K also winds through our beautiful waterways. Be on the lookout for signs to point you in the right direction—and trust us, you'll want to stay on course because the finish line is where the magic happens.
We recommend downloading the route to your Garmin watch or Apple Watch so you can focus on what really matters: imagining those delicious tacos waiting for you at the finish line. And yes, there will be cold beverages to help you cool down after conquering those miles. Whether you're running for glory, fitness, or the promise of post-race tacos and beer, the 10K delivers an unforgettable experience.
So lace up those running shoes, embrace the challenge, and remember: every mile brings you closer to taco paradise. See you at the finish line!
