Tay's Summit Challenge

Rules

Location

Wherever you are! This event is not exclusive to Maine. All hikes do need to be an All Trails registered and tracked trail.

Dates

Registration: September 1st - October 31st
Fundraising: September 1st - October 31st
Hiking Challenge: October 1st - October 31st

Point System

1 foot in elevation gained = 1 point
1 dollar in fundraising = 10 points

Hiking Rules

  1. Must reach the summit of the mountain to receive points.
  2. Trails must be verified and registered on All Trails. All Trails will be used to verify elevation gained.
  3. When submitting hiking results include the total elevation, a picture of you at the summit and in the comment field enter the trail name and mountain you hiked. How to Submit Results.
  4. All submissions need to be in before 11:59 PM EST on 10/31/2020.
  5. We highly encourage all of our participants to show their love and support of the Tay Summit Challenge on social media! Use the hashtag #staystrongclimbon and tag the Stay Strong Foundation so we can share and spread the word.

Awards

Top point earner

The top point winner will receive a 3 night stay in North Woodstock NH at a Loon Mountain condo (dates TBD and based on availability)

Elevation Challenge

Any participant that hikes over 10,000 feet during the challenge will earn the 10,000 feet patch.

Fundraising

Participants can start fundraising as soon as they sign up for the event.

Top fundraiser will win this two person tent. (Top fundraiser must raise over $1000 in order to win this prize)

All fundraisers will earn the following prizes once they meet the listed fundraising goals.
