QUESTION: I want to or have registered for this "event," but not sure how it works and what I paid for.
This is an event where you have "registered" at $25/person, and each "registration" comes with a commemorative t-shirt. Think of "registration" as a virtual fundraiser for the SHOC Foundation. You then choose an event that you'd like to do to honor and remember those in your life who have been affected by ovarian cancer. If you'd like to participate in an event of your choosing where there is a fee to participate, you will have to pay for that separately (example: golf, organized walk or run, bowling, wine tasting, etc.).

QUESTION: I registered for this event. Where do I check in?
This is a virtual event, so you do not need to check in. You're on your own to do your activity of choice—wherever you want, with whomever you want, and whenever you want during the month of September.

QUESTION: Where does The Best Event of the Year occur?
There will be no official gathering place. Since it is up to participants to select events of their choosing, this event can take place anywhere you choose.


QUESTION: When does online registration end?

Online registration ends July 31, 2022. This will allow the SHOC Foundation to get t-shirts printed and mailed out before September 1st.

QUESTION: When does this event start?
This event runs the entire month of September, so register by July 31, 2022 to get your commemorative t-shirt sent to you before September 1, 2022. Wear the commemorative t-shirt during your event of choice, take pictures, and post them to social media (#SHOCBestEvent  @SHOCFoundation) or email them to bestevent@shocfoundation.org and we'll post them on the SHOC website.

QUESTION: Will this event happen rain or shine? Is it possible this event will get cancelled?
Each participant does an event of their choosing, whenever and wherever they'd like. If it's raining or too hot, simply consider switching days—remember you have the whole month of September! 

QUESTION: I registered for this "event." Do I get a bib number if I want to walk or run?
If your event of choice is a walk or run, there will be no bib numbers sent out—this event is of your choosing as to when and where you want to do it, and there is no official timer for any walk or run.

QUESTION: Can we register as a group?
You can register individually, or you can register as a group by clicking on +Add Another Registrant. Each registration is $25/person and includes a commemorative t-shirt. There are no group discounts, however.
At this point you can also give your group a team name if you want by selecting Yes to join a team, and then on the next page of Registration giving your team a name, but this is not required.

QUESTION: Can we create or join a team?
You can create or join a team. Select Yes when asked if you want to join a team. When selecting Yes, the next page of Registration will be to either Create a New Team (give your team a name) or Join an Existing Team and search for the team name. You do not need to register as a group to join a team, you can register individually. Each registration is $25/person and includes a commemorative t-shirt. There are no team discounts, however.


QUESTION: I want to register my family, which includes minor-aged children. Do they get a discounted rate?

Each registration is $25/person regardless of age, and includes a commemorative t-shirt.
