Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome! Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join us.

Do children need to register?

Yes. All participants must be registered. Children ages 4 & under may participate free of charge.

Can I walk instead of run?

Absolutely! Whether you walk, run, stroll or cheer from the sidelines, we invite you to be part of the event.

Do all registered participants receive an event T-shirt?

Participants ages 5 & up who register by September 1, 2026, are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Free registrations for children 4 & under do not include a T-shirt.

Is this a timed race?

No, this is a non-competitive community event.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes! Strollers are welcome.

Are animals allowed?

No, except service animals.

Can I register on race day?

No, advanced registration is required. Registration closes on Saturday October 3, 2026 at 8pm.

What happens if it rains?

The Big Energy Walk is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, organizers reserve the right to delay, modify, reschedule or cancel the event.

Are registrations refundable?

No. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Where does the money raised go?

The Big Energy Walk is an independently organized community event.100% of the net proceeds benefit CHADD of Suffolk County, supporting education, advocacy, resources and programs for individuals and families affected by ADHD. CHADD of Suffolk County Website

Can I make a donation if I cannot attend?

Yes! Donations are greatly appreciated and can be made through the event website.

Can I become a sponsor?

Yes! We welcome businesses, organizations, and community partners who would like to support our mission. Please contact us at TheBigEnergyWalk@gmail.com for sponsorship opportunities.

Will there be raffles?

Yes! Raffle winners will be announced during the event. Winners must be present to claim their prize.

Will food and beverages be available?

Water will be available for all participants. Additional refreshments will be announced closer to the event date.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available for all participants.
