The team at GO! St. Louis is excited to bring participants an in-person race this fall, and even more excited to do it with the annual favorite tradition - the Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race! This year’s race will be different - no doubt - but still have all of the great amenities and seasonal fun you can count in a GO! St. Louis event!
The 13.1 mile race will be staged at Missouri Research Park at the intersection of I-64 and Highway 94 in St. Charles County. The timed, certified course will run on paved paths and crushed gravel as it travels from Busch Greenway to the Hamburg Trail to the Katy Trail in a one-loop course. As an added bonus - this is a fast course with some huge downhill sections and lots of flat ground to cover!
Start Line Procedures
To ensure the safety of all participants, this event will have staggered start time waves of 30-40 participants every 20 minutes. Participants will be placed in waves based on their estimated pace per mile, with faster paces beginning earlier in the morning. In the assigned 20-minute wave time, runners may start at any time during that 30 minutes. Those wishing to begin at a less busy time may wait until after the start of the hour (for example, a runner with an 8:00am - 8:20am wave time may start at exactly 8:00am, or 8:12am, or 8:19am - it doesn’t matter, as long as it is within the assigned wave time.) Runners will not be allowed to enter the start line area until 20 minutes prior to their wave time.
When registering, participants will submit an estimated half marathon finish time which will be used for corral placement - with the fastest corrals starting first and moving backward from there. Final wave assignments will be emailed early in the week on race week.
