Is the 5K race chip timed?

Yes.  A chip in your race bib will begin timing each runner as they cross the start line.  Race times will be posted immediately upon race completion - see RESULTS page.

 

Can I bring a stroller and young children to the race?

Yes!  The 5K is a walk/run event designed for the whole family.  Strollers and young children are encouraged to attend!

 

Are pets allowed?

Although we love our fury friends, there will be other live reindeer onsite, so pets are not permitted at the race or festival.

 

Can I register the morning of the race?

No.  In order to adequately prepare for race start, race registration closes at midnight on Friday night before the race.  But, you CAN pick up your bib that morning at the race, if you've already registered.  

 

What are race proceeds used for?

Can we register as a team or group?

No.  Our race registration is not set up to accommodate teams. 

 

What happens if it rains?

In the event of heavy rain or inclement weather, the race start will be delayed until conditions approve.   ** Please be sure to follow The Highlands Facebook Page @HighlandsTX for weather updates & delayed start time announcements, as facebook is our official real-time communication system for race participants **

 

Can I be a sponsor and have a booth at the race festival?
