Hi everyone!
We’re just days away from the inaugural Mock 5K, and we can’t wait to see you this Saturday! Please take a few minutes to review the important race-day information below so you know exactly where to go and what to expect.
🚗 PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY!
Gloucester Township Community Park is expected to be busy on Saturday with other activities taking place throughout the park. We strongly encourage you to arrive early to allow plenty of time to find parking, walk to the Gazebo, check in, and get to the start line before 9:00 AM.
THE MOCK 5K - In Honor of Geoffrey Mock

📍 LOCATION
Gloucester Township Community Park
400 Hickstown Road
Sicklerville, NJ 08081
The park is located at the intersection of Hickstown Road and Peter Cheeseman Road. You may enter through either park entrance. Once inside, follow The Mock 5K signage toward Lot 5 and the Gazebo, which will serve as Race Headquarters.
⏰ RACE DAY SCHEDULE
7:30 AM — Registration & Check-In Opens
8:30 AM — Registration & Check-In Closes
8:45 AM — Participants Gather at Start Line / Pre-Race Announcements
9:00 AM — The Mock 5K Begins!
Approximately 10:15 AM — Mini Mock Dash on Field G across the Gazebo (Registration or signed parent/guardian consent required)
Awards to Follow
Please arrive early enough to park, check in, pick up your bib, and be ready at the start line by 8:45 AM.
🏁 CHECK-IN + START/FINISH
The start and finish will be at the Gazebo, directly in front of Lot 5 and Field I.
When you arrive, head to the Gazebo for participant check-in, bib pickup, same-day registration, and race information.
If you still need to register, race-day registration will be available from 7:30–8:30 AM. We recommend arriving toward the beginning of that window.
🔴 THE COURSE — FOLLOW THE RED ARROWS!
The Mock 5K will take place on Gloucester Township Community Park’s Patriotic Path.
You’ll see red, white, and blue arrows painted on the ground throughout the path. For The Mock 5K, always follow the RED arrows.
🔴 RED ARROWS = THE MOCK 5K ROUTE
One loop following the red arrows is a little over one mile. You will complete the loop THREE TIMES to complete the 5K.
LAP 1 → LAP 2 → LAP 3 → FINISH! 🏁
Each participant is responsible for completing all three laps. Please pay close attention at intersections and turns and remember: follow RED, not white or blue. We’ll also have course signage and volunteers along the route to help guide you.
🎈 FAMILY FUN ZONE + MINI MOCK DASH
Bringing the family? Please do! Our Family Fun Zone will be located at Field G, directly across from the Gazebo.
We’ll have the Mini Mock Dash, face painting, bubbles, hula hoops, Giant Connect 4, and more!
IMPORTANT: All children participating in the Family Fun Zone and/or Mini Mock Dash must either be registered through RunSignup OR have a parent/legal guardian sign a consent form before participating. This is required for all children participating in Kids Zone activities.
If your child is already registered through RunSignup, you’re all set! If not, please stop by the Kids Zone check-in table when you arrive to complete the consent form.
The Mini Mock Dash will take place at approximately 10:15 AM, following the main 5K.
🚗 PARKING
There are multiple parking areas throughout Gloucester Township Community Park, and you may use either park entrance.
Please note that the park is expected to be busy on Saturday, so parking near Lot 5 may fill quickly. We strongly recommend arriving early to secure a parking spot and allow time to walk to Race Headquarters.
Race Headquarters, check-in, and the start/finish will be centered around the Gazebo and Lot 5.

Most importantly, thank you for being part of our very first Mock 5K. Whether you’re running, walking, volunteering, bringing your family, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation helps the Mock Family Foundation support newly widowed parents and surviving partners with young children during the first six months after loss.
💚 WHY WE RUN
The Mock 5K is held in honor and memory of Geoffrey Mock — a loving husband, devoted father, public servant, and friend whose life left a lasting impact on so many.
After losing Geoffrey unexpectedly, the pain and grief of that loss became the inspiration behind the Mock Family Foundation: to turn an unimaginable loss into a way to help other families facing the same life-changing circumstances.
On Saturday, we come together not only to remember Geoffrey and the life he lived, but to carry his legacy forward by supporting newly widowed parents, surviving partners, and their young children when they need their village most.
We run. We walk. We remember. We make an impact. 💚
