Race Venue
- Where will be the race be held? The Start/Finish line will be at the Egg Lawn on Beckley Creek Parkway.
- What time does the race start? The 5K walk/run will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 3.
- What time should I arrive? If you pick up you race packet on Friday, we recommend being parked at least 15 minutes before race start time to ensure you have plenty of time to warm up. If you need to pick up your race packet on race morning, please be parked at least 30 minutes before race start time. You should expect some traffic congestion when arriving at the park, so plan your arrival accordingly.
Race Registration
- When does online registration close? Online registration will remain open until the morning of the race. Cost to register increases as race day approaches. Register early to take advantage of early bird pricing!
- What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes your race medal and t-shirt.
- Is there a benefiting charity? Yes, all proceeds benefit The Parklands of Floyds Fork, a visitor-supported public park.
- Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. Registration fees are non-refundable.
- Should I register my young children? Small children that can't run or walk the 5K distance need not be registered. Only registered participants will receive a race number, race t-shirt, and medal.
Race Participation
- When can I get my race t-shirt? Packet pickup will take place in Beckley Creek Park on Friday, June 2nd from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Can I view a course map? The course map will be posted on this registration website as we get closer!
- Is the course totally on hard surfaces? Yes! The course is on the hard surface roads and paths in the park.
- Is the course suitable for strollers? Strollers are allowed. However, you will be asked to start at the back of the pack for the safety of the other participants.
- Can I bring my dog/pet with me? While The Parklands loves your furry friends, it's best that you leave your dog/pet at home on race morning. The pathways used for the run/walk are narrow at points, so we ask that it's only our human friends participating.
- Can I walk the race? Yes! Walkers are welcome. If you plan to walk the 5K course, please line up at the rear of the pack at the Start Line.
- Will there be awards? Yes! For participants in the 5K, there will be awards for the top 3 male & female overall and top 3 male & female in the following age groups: 1 - 12, 13 - 15, 16 - 19, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over
