Thunderbird Run 2026: Annual Mahwah Schools Foundation 5K Run, 2Mi Walk and Kids Run

Who Can Participate? The Kids Run is open to all students in Grades K through 5.

Race Distances & Awards - NEW FOR 2026

Grades K–1: 1/2 lap (200m)
Grades 2–5: 1 lap (400m)
Races: Grouped by grade (boys and girls run together).
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each grade!

Entry Fee & Registration

Cost: $20 per student
T-Shirt Guarantee: Register by November 1, 2026 to ensure your child receives a long-sleeve cotton Kids Run shirt in their correct size. (Note: Race-day shirts will be extremely limited!)

Race Day Schedule

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Check-in & bib/shirt pick-up
10:15 AM: Meet on the high school football field for group warm-ups
10:30 AM: Races begin!

Attention Mahwah Students! Be sure to select your school on the registration form to enter the Student Challenge. The Mahwah school with the highest participation rate wins $500 for their P.E. program!
