Fun Run FAQs
Are strollers allowed on the 5K course?
Yes, families with strollers are welcome. We will ask that anyone with a stroller start after the runners.
Are Pets allowed on the course?
Registered Service Animals are welcome. Please be mindful of posted pet areas.
Can I register a Team?
Yes, you may create a group or team on the registration site and each team member will register under the team you create.
Are parents welcome to join the race?
Yes, the race is open to all students, staff, families, and the Tomball Community.
Is the entire course inside the stadium, or does it go into the surrounding roads?
The race will take place on Tomball ISD property around the stadium, GLJHS, and GOES. Participants will not be running on public roads.
My husband and son would like to run together, will there be waves for different age groups?
We will not have runners start in waves per age group. We will ask walkers and strollers to start at the back of the group, however, families are welcome to run together.
If we register for the 5K, can we also do the 1 mile walk, or do we need to register for the 1 mile walk separately?
You do not need to register separately. You may register for the 5K and participate in both if you choose.
I have seen the event advertised as a Fun Run plus Festival. What will you have at the festival?
We will have a children’s area with inflatables, a local vendor area, and food trucks.
Is there a cost to attend the festival if I choose not to participate in the 5K run or 1-mile walk?
No. There is no cost to participate in the festival.
Is this a timed race?
Yes, the 5K is a USATF-certified course and will be timed.
Will there be awards?
Yes, medals will be awarded to the top runners in the 5K as follows:
In total, 120 medals will be awarded, including the Top overall 3 places in the Open Division (any age), Student Division (8-18) and Masters Division (over 40). Medals will also be awarded to the Top 3 male and Top 3 female places in each of the 17 age group categories.
