2022 Tulip Time Run

Sat May 7 - Tue May 10, 2022 Directions

When does online registration close?
Online registration closes on Monday May 10, 2021 at 11:59 PM.

Is the 2021 run cancelled?

The in-person run for 2021 is cancelled but the virtual run is not.

The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and community are of utmost importance. Following the CDC directives and guidelines issued by the State of Michigan, which currently stipulate the event is limited to an overall total of 300 people, we must forego our in-person Tulip Time Run 5K, 10K and Kids Run this year. Government Order

What do virtual runners get for signing up?

May I transfer events (i.e. 5K instead of 10K) if I’ve already registered?  Transfer to VIRTUAL
Yes, you are able to transfer events for free. Including transferring to the virtual run.  Transfers can be made to your registration by logging into your RunSignUp account. HERE are the transfer instructions.  If you have any troubles doing this, please email Eddie Kline at reddiefit@gmail.com with the changes that need to be made.

May I transfer my bib number to someone else if I registered but can no longer participate?

I got directions to transfer to the virtual run, I followed all the instructions but all is the same, did I really have to transfer to the virtual run or was it done automatically?

If you signed up for the in-person 5K or 10K run and want to transfer into the virtual 5K or 10K run you must complete the transfer on your own.  Runners are not automatically transferred into the virtual run.  Follow these instructions to transfer.

I am confused if I am to just run and send in my time for the 10k, or do I need to use the RaceJoy app?

Virtual runners have 2 options to submit their run results.  They can be submitted here on the Tulip Time Run registration page or through the RaceJoy app.

Will there be any start, finish line or arrows on the street on May 1st?  I do not understand the statements about 300 people outdoors, etc?

Yes, the 5K & 10K Tulip Time Run routes will be marked with all turns on May 1. The 5K is marked with blue arrows and the 10K is marked with yellow arrows. All arrows are marked on the edge of the road as runners travel facing traffic.

The official regulations by the MDHHS states that running events cannot have more than 300 people at an event.  Tulip Time Run is NOT hosting a running event this year on May 1 or any other date. We have just marked the course for anyone to use anytime they want to run or walk it.

What does the term virtual run even mean, I thought on an app the streets of Holland could be seen on a map as I run on my own designated path?

Technically a virtual run means participating in the run on your own without showing up to the actual hosted run. That is what Tulip Time Virtual Run is this year. It also means a runner can complete the running distance at any location of their choosing. In addition to our 5K and 10K race routes we have created some other running routes throughout Holland that pass by tulips for runners to have more options.
