GENERAL QUESTIONS
When does the race begin?
- 1 mile: 8am
- 5K: 8:30am
Where does the race begin?
The race will begin and end at Aurora High School, passing through the Aurora Schools Campus during the course. Click here for course maps for both races.
Where do I park?
Parking options can be found at Aurora High School (119 W. Pioneer Trail), the Walker Building (129 W. Pioneer Trail), and Kiwanis-Moore Park (35 W. Pioneer Trail). For a parking map, scroll to the bottom of the page.
Are dogs and strollers allowed?
Yes, but dogs must be leashed. If you are doing the race with a dog or stroller, please line up near the back of the start area.
Will refreshments be provided after the race?
Yes, complimentary water and granola bars are offered to all participants.
Exciting Update: This year, we'll have food trucks! Coffee and donuts will be available for purchase from Generous Java and You Enjoy My Donuts.
Where will restrooms be located?
Restrooms are available in the high school.
REGISTRATION
What is included with my registration?
- Long sleeve t-shirt (for the first 500 registered runners; extras available first come, first served)
- Medals for top 3 female and male finishers in each age category for both 1 mile and 5K
- Pies for top 3 female and male finishers for both 1 mile and 5K
I can no longer participate in the race, can I get a refund?
All entries are non-refundable.
PACKET PICKUP INFORMATION
When is early packet pickup?
- Wednesday, November 22
- Aurora High School (cafeteria entrance)
- 3-6pm
What if I can't make the early packet pickup?
We highly recommend attending the packet pickup on Wednesday November 22, but if you cannot make it, day-of packet pickup will open at 7am at the Aurora High School gym (cafeteria entrance).
Can someone else pick my race bib and shirt?
Yes, both can be picked up by/for family and friends.
RESULTS/ AWARDS
How is this race timed?
Our 1-mile and 5K races use MyLaps BibTag timing for accurate results. Timing chips are attached to the back of your bib number. Any damage or bending could affect the accuracy of your time, so be careful with it before and during the race.
Where can I see my results?
Race results will be available in real-time on our website. Simply visit the race section and click the 'Results' link, or go to the Race Results tab on the homepage. You may need to refresh your browser to view the latest updates.
What are the award categories?
- Top 3 Overall Male and Female finishers, both the 1 Mile and 5K
- Top 1 Male and Female Master (40+) for the 5K
- Top 3 Male and Female finishers in the following age categories:
- 1 Mile:
- 5 & under, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 40+
- 5K:
- 10 & under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 60+
Will there be an awards ceremony?
There won't be a complete awards ceremony. After finishing the race, scan the provided QR code. If you've won an award in your category, you can collect it when the medal table is open after the race. We will announce the overall female and male finishers for both the 1 Mile and 5K.
