Runner Information
Race Information
- Participants in the Half Marathon must complete the course in 4 hours or less.
- Walkers are welcome in all events. Please position yourself appropriately at the start line to help with pace.
- Strollers permitted however it MUST be a jogging stroller. This is for each runner’s safety and to help with pace. Please position yourself appropriately at the start line to limit hazard during the start.
- Are Furry Running Partners allowed to participate? Yes dogs may take part in the race with their human runner. However, those running with dogs will have a 5 minute delayed start.
The following stipulations are in place per City of Tybee regulations and DPH for dogs, excluding service animals:
**Dogs must be on and remain on a leash
**Dogs are not allowed on the beach at any time (so the 2.8 mile beach run is not possible)
**Dogs are not allowed in the race tent
Additionally we ask:
**Please pick up after your animal on the course
**Please be mindful of race length, we do not recommend the 10K or ½ Marathon distance.

Parking
Tybee Island enforces parking from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

Weather
The race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start (maximum 30-minute delay) or, depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. The determination will be made by the Event Management staff and local law enforcement to determine the proper action. Legally, the race cannot take place while lightning is in the area for liability reasons.
