FAQ

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Where can I complete my 5K?
Anywhere! This is your virtual 5K experience, and we want you to complete it wherever you wish— sidewalks, trails, treadmills— every mile counts!

How do I track my distance and time?
We accept results on the honor system, but the most accurate tracking is typically via a device with GPS.

When do I need to complete my 5K?
We encourage you to get together with your team, family and friends on Sunday, October 31 as a way to close out USC Homecoming weekend. But don’t worry if you have a conflict—you can complete your 5K on your own schedule, anytime between October 9 (Trojan Family Weekend) and November 12, 2021. The run window closes on November 12, which is the final day to post your results and print your finisher's certificate.

What items are included in the 2021 Fight On! Virtual 5K participant kit?
Participant kits for those with addresses in the contiguous U.S., Alaska and Hawaii include a custom designed t-shirt, race bib and a USC-themed medal. All other participants can register to receive an online participant kit.

What is included with the online participant kit?
The online participant kit includes a downloadable bib and a finisher’s certificate.

When will my participant kit ship?
We will begin shipping participant kits the week of September 13. After that date, kits will be shipped within 2-5 business days of your registration date. Please allow a few extra days for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.

What do I do if my t-shirt doesn’t fit?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any exchanges after your kit has been shipped. Please select your correct t-shirt size when you register.

How do I post my 5K results?
Sign in to your RunSignUp account and click "Results" in the navigation bar. Then log your time and download your personalized finisher’s certificate. The final day you can post your time is November 12

Do I need to submit results to get a medal?
No. Your medal will be sent to you in your participant kit.

How can I share photos from my 5K with fellow Trojans on social media?
Please share photos and experiences on the 2021 Fight On! Virtual 5K website and on social media using #FightOn5K. Remember to tag us @USCAlumni!
