An unforgettable voyage through some of the world’s most scenic and unique lands. Try it!

EVENT INFORMATION
Race Date: November 5th & 6th, 2022
We are happy to announce that we will again be running Sundays 1/2 Marathon in addition to the traditional Saturday Races. So, you may run the 1/2 marathon on either Saturday or Sunday (same course, same support, but two separate awards.)  If you want to run the Marathon, 5K or Kids K- they will be offered on Saturday only.

We added the Sunday 1/2 Marathon since Saturdays 1/2 Marathon fills up very early. Please note that all Saturday’s races will likely fill up by early June. There will be NO WAITLIST (we’ll over-sell to account for no-shows), so sign up early! We expect Sundays 1/2 Marathon to be open until early October (and Sunday’s entry fee is considerably less!).

5K UPDATE: Due to the pending new construction which may affect the 5k course; registration for the 5k is on HOLD. We will open registration once we confirm that we have a 5k course. If we cannot make the 5k course work, we will instead have a 10k course. This course will loop up Amasa Back trail and down Jackson Trail. We will keep you posted on facebook as well as this website and will open registration for either the 5k or 10k as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Location
Event takes place in the spectacular and beautiful Kane Creek Canyon area near Moab, Utah.

Directions to Race Venue/Packet Pick-up/Start/Finish: Heading South on Main Street Moab, turn right on Kane Creek Blvd which is at the McDonald’s. Continue, staying left at the one fork after about a mile, to continue on Kane Springs Road. You’ll follow alongside the Colorado River for just over 3 miles until the road turns from pavement to dirt. The venue/start/finish area is in the Kane Creek parking lot, on the right.

RACE Shuttle to Start: New for 2022! This year parking near the start/finish is extremely limited due to construction of a new development on the land where participants normally park. There will be a limited number of VIP parking spaces available for purchase. Otherwise, the options are:

1. Take the shuttle to/from town: The shuttle will be to/from Swanny Park in Moab starting at 5:45am. There will be a place to leave your bag while you run (please do not leave valuables in your bag, including don’t leave your phone there– there is no service at the race start/finish). The shuttle will bring you back to Swanny Park after you finish. Parking is available in parking lots around Swanny park including the Elementary school. Sunday runners: please do not park in church parking lots. You may also walk from your hotel to Swanny Park.

2: Have a friend or family member drop you off and pick you up: your driver must make 2 trips to the race sight, one to drop you off and one to pick you up (each +/-3.5 miles one-way) and driver must stay in their vehicle while at the drop off/pickup location (i.e. no parking to spectate).

3. Purchase a VIP Parking Pass: $20, reserve your pass during registration. Limited availability, first come first serve. Those parking without a pass will be ticketed and towed.

4. Ride your bike to the race, about 3.5-4 miles each way from town. Note that it will be very cold in the morning, even on a ‘nice’ day. Bring a lock and find a good spot to lock your bike.

More detailed information about the shuttle, drop off, and VIP parking will be sent to participants in the pre-race newsletter.

Registration Information:
Registration limited to the first 900 to sign up for each day. Register early! (Elite runners, please contact race director if you need more time to sign up, we will save some spots for elite runners!)

Your Registration includes an incredible course (fully marked), Chip Timing, t-shirt, goodie bag, aid stations on course with water and snacks, post event soup and snacks, a finishers medal and mug,  Sponsor “swag” to top 3 M/F overall in each race, prizes to top age group finishers (10 year age-group increments, M/F) in the marathon and half marathon, $6600 cash purse shared between top Marathon Finishers, a chance to be titled the “Trail Marathon National Champion” (overall and age group).

A portion of your entry fee will be donated to local non-profit organizations, including the Humane Society of Moab Valley, Grand County Search & Rescue, Trail Mix and Community Rebuilds.

Note that Saturday’s races have filled by mid-June the last 4 years.
