Description

Registration closes 4pm Friday September 11th. If you miss online registration, you may register in person at Packet Pickup or at 7am on race morning (both at Rock Canyon Park).

Provo's finest 10k takes you through the beautiful streets of Rock Canyon, Oak Hills, and Indian Hills neighborhoods. Our unique course enables you to experience things that make us love Provo.  Enjoy the scenery as you speed through each street or feel free to catch your breath for a second and join in some of the fun! 

We are donating a portion of every registration to a "To be determined" local nonprofit organization. More details will be coming soon. 

We will also have a free kids 1K fun run at the event, happening after the awards ceremony (roughly around 10:00am). We will not do online registration for this event. Come at the conclusion of the awards ceremony for the kids 1K run. While supplies last, kids will receive a finisher medal.

We have a need for volunteers the weekend of the race (Thursday-Saturday) and many volunteer options leading up to the event over summer.  Volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, breakfast, and handouts from sponsors. 

Race Day

Date: 12 September 2019

Course: Click Here for race map and elevation profile.  The course begins in the parking lot near Pavilion #4 at Rock Canyon Park in Provo, UT. The course ends at Rock Canyon Park in Provo, UT.  Course run-through video coming soon. There is a short (.25 mile) stretch of the course that runs on a dirt trail near the start line. The rest of the race is on the road/sidewalk. 

Start Time: 7:30am

Location: Parking is available at Rock Canyon Park in Provo, UT. (2620 N 1200 E, Provo, UT 84604). There is overflow parking available at Rock Canyon Trailhead.  

Packet Pickup:  Packets will be available for pickup Friday, September 6th from 6pm-8pm at Rock Canyon Park Pavilion #1.  

Shirts: All 10k participants will receive a race shirt in their race packets. T-shirts are only guaranteed if registration is done before September 1st

Medals: All finishers will receive a Rock the Canyon 10k finisher medal. Finisher medals are only guaranteed if registration is done before September 1st

Awards: Cash prizes are given for the top 3 male and female finishers, and to the top 3 male and female Masters (40 and over). Age group awards are given to winners of the following divisions (both male and female):

We will also have a kids 1K fun run at the event, happening after the awards ceremony (roughly around 10:15am). We will not do online registration for this event and the race will not be timed.

We are very pleased to announce that we have partnered with Team Endure Strong. Team Endure Strong is an online coaching team coached by Olympian Jared Ward.  Jared has hundreds of training plans to prepare you for Rock the Canyon 10k and other races (5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon, Base Work, Beginning Running, and High School training plans).  Each training plan is set up based on your goals, your ability, and your desired weekly mileage. Jared also offers live video coaching calls, tons of prerecorded training tips and videos (cross training, injury advice, weight lifting, etc.) to all of Endure Strong athletes.  Go check them out!!!  Team Endure Strong

She has a passion for health promotion and has been coaching for over 25 years.  She loves to work with all level of athletes and specializes in creating custom running & triathlon training plans to meet individual needs.  Coach Lora takes a personal interest in each athlete and adapts training as needed because she believes this is how athletes can meet their true potential.
