The Event:

Avalaunch Gives Back 5k and Family Fun Run

Join Avalaunch Media on Saturday September 30th at Wheeler Historic Farm in Salt Lake City for the Avalaunch Gives Back Charity 5k and Eddie the Yeti Mascot Family Fun Run. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Avalaunch Media Scholarship Program and the Water For Life Charity. See info on this two outstanding organization below!

Event Details:

This is the 3rd year for this event and we’re excited to bring it back. The event includes a 5k at the beautiful and historic Wheeler Farms, plus a mascot family one mile fun run hosted by Avalaunch Media’s own, Eddie the Yeti!

There will be post race awards and breakfast after the event concludes plus overall and age group awards and a very nice runners gift bag (with race t-shirt!) courtesy of our sponsors.

Mascots will be announced at a later date!

You can register on the morning of. We are cashless, so you will sign up here on this site and just show us your confirmation on your phone so we get you on the list and a bib. T-shirts only guaranteed for those who pre-register!

Event Schedule:

8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. Packet Pick up and Event Registration (no cash will be accepted. You can just sign up online on your way to the race or once you've arrived. Show our volunteers your race confirmation and they will get your chip timed bib and add you to the list!)

9:00 a.m. Avalaunch Yeti Mascot Family Fun Run (1 mile long) - FREE for 5k participants to do!

9:30 a.m. Avalaunch Gives Back 5k on the Wheeler Historic Farm USATF Certified 5k course. This will be a chip timed event on a flat, fast, beautiful course through the farm!

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Post race breakfast, and awards ceremony.

Awards Given: Top 3 overall male, top 3 overall female, top 3 age group male and female in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

At Avalaunch Media, we are committed to supporting Utah students in their educational pursuits and helping to develop the next generation of leaders and believers here in the Beehive State. Every year, for more than a decade, our agency has launched its annual tradition of supporting education through the Avalaunch Media Scholarship Contest as part of our #AvalaunchGivesBack initiative. This year’s winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship to put toward their marketing education at any Utah-based institution. It is our goal in the coming years to begin to give out 25 $1,000 scholarships every year!
