Race to Reduce Bullying

Playworks believes in the power of play to bring out the best in every kid. In our schools children use the principals of conflict resolution, teamwork, and social-emotional interpersonal skills to establish a positive recess culture. By empowering kids to play every day and engage with their peers through play, Playworks has created an average of 43% DECREASE in bullying in our schools across the nation!

It is amazing that by promoting the power of play to elementary schools students in Utah, we are able to have such a staggering impact that combats the epidemic of bullying. We are thrilled to invite the community to join Playworks for its fourth annual Race to Reduce Bullying. Through your support, you are helping to solve a major problem that plagues children every day. Your partnership allows for 10,000 children in 18 elementary schools to enjoy a great school experience centering from the power of play!

The 2015 Race to Reduce Bullying features opportunities for the whole family to get involved through our timed 5K trail as well as a 1-Mile Youth Fun Run. All participants will enjoy a fun family friendly environment, an electronically timed race, activities, snacks, friends, and awesomeness! Awards will be presented to the top male, female, boy and girl finishers. All kids, parents, family, and friends are welcome to join us in for the run and stay after to enjoy all the great extra activities Wheeler Farm has to offer!
