After months of rigorous testing and multiple blood transfusions,  Wayne Tarawhiti was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndromes), a rare blood cancer that is treatable, but incurable.

Team Wayne has banded together in support of the Tarawhiti family to raise funds for the mounting medical costs they are incurring. During the month of October, Wayne was at the Dr's office for treatment or in the hospital every single day. Since the start of this  journey, Wayne has had more than 10 blood transfusions and will continue to need more. Wayne is currently searching for a bone marrow match. Once the match is identified, there are anticipated additional costs both for the Tarawhiti family as well as his donor.

Wayne Tarawhiti was born in Porirua New Zealand. Wayne has been married to his wife Kenra for 31 years and are the parents to two beautiful daughters Kotahi and Kazna.

Wayne served an LDS mission in the Philippines, graduated with a degree in HR from BYU HI where he also danced at the Polynesian Cultural Center. He's held numerous callings in the church, and continues to honor his priesthood.

Wayne is currently employed by Workday, Inc. His prior employment includes Raass Brother's Construction and ADP National Accounts where he's also coached many employees to always go and beyond.

 To quote Wayne: "Smash it!"
