RACE RULES - 5K
We are estimating that most runners will finish the course within 1 hour (20 minute miles). The course will go over mostly paved roads, with a small section at the turnaround which is sand/dirt/gravel. We suggest that as an athlete, you train for this event because of the distance and conditions.
We are estimating that most walkers will finish the course within 45 minutes. The course will go over paved roads. Strollers are welcome for small children (4 and under) and infants. We will do our best to guarantee a medal for all family members, but there may be some limitations based on final participant counts.
CHECK-IN ON RACE DAY
Check-in tables will be set up at The Cove Restaurant (3700 Brigantine Blvd) beginning at 8:00am. All participants must be checked in by 8:45am (15 mins prior to the race). Participants in the 5K Run will receive their bibs and timing chips at this time. Participants must be pre-registered/paid online prior to checking-in; online registration closes at 5:00am!

SEVERE WEATHER PLAN
This event is "rain or shine," meaning that the race will be held even in inclement weather. However, Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel this event if conditions are determined to be unsafe for participants. This includes but is not limited to severe thunderstorms with lightening, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc., or any other conditions as dictated by local authorities. An email, text, and/or social media broadcast will be sent out advising if a cancellation will occur. While no refund will be given, participants will receive a discount coupon to participate in a future Green Whales Racing, Inc. event.
