Mission
Our mission is to combat maternal and child mortality by providing access to affordable healthcare in underserved communities in rural Africa.
Mama Kits
Malika is a subsistence farmer in a remote subdivision of NW Cameroon.
In March 2024, she was one of 200 women who came to our free Maternal & Child Health Program at Misaje Hospital. She was in the last trimester of her pregnancy.
Malika and the 49 other pregnant women were each given a free ultrasound. For nearly 90% of them, it was their first one.
All the women were given a free Mama Kit with essentials for giving birth at home (surgical gloves, an umbilical cord clamp, and disinfectant) and baby things (a bottle, clothes, blankets and a thermometer.)
Then her water broke and she gave birth right there, fortunate to already be in the hospital.
She said she had nothing at all and wasn’t prepared for delivery but that, “you came like an Angel into my life on that faithful day and provided me with all I needed to have a successful delivery.”
She named her baby “Elvis” after the founder of Unite for Health.
Help us help the mamas and babies in the remote village Elvis grew up in.
