UHS Trail Run FAQ

When and where does Packet Pick-Up take place? Packet Pick-Up will be at Upland Hills Farm. by the large barn on Saturday, May 17th, starting at 8AM.

Can someone else pick up my packet? Yes, someone else can pick up your packet. They will need to provide the participant's name or Bib number for identification.

Where do I park when I get to the Trail Run? Enter Upland Hills Farm off of Lake George Road and follow the road to the parking field. There will be other cars lined up there. Please do not drive onto the farm proper, there will be people in the area.

Can we bring our pets? No, the farm does not allow pets on their property. You will get a chance to meet several farm animals while on the farm.

Can we practice the Trail Run? No, UH Farm is private property, You are welcome to explore the Bald Mountain State Park Trails. Some of the trails can be quite challenging!

What should I bring to the UHS Trail Run? Yourself, comfortable clothing and shoes, and your phone. We suggest bug spray and sun block and some money for food if desired. Some of the race will be in the direct sun and the bugs are always present! Always do a tick check when you are done on the trails.

Do I get a finisher medal for completing the Trail Run? Yes, the first 150 registered finishers of all the Trail Run will receive a unique student-made finisher medal.

Do you have age group awards? Yes, we will present male and female age group awards by event in the following categories:

What are the start times? The start times are as follows:
9:00AM - 10K Trail Run
9:10AM - 5k Trail Run
9:20AM - 1 Mile Trail Run

Can I walk the 5K course? Yes, walkers are welcome to participate. All walkers must start at the back of the starting coral.

Are runners timed? Yes, for the 2024 Run we will be manually timing all three runs. We will record your time as you cross the finish line, once you cross please enter the chute in the order you crossed the line and form a single line. We will record your bib number at the end of the chute line. The software will combine the numbers to create the finishers lists. Your finish time will be available on this site after the Run.

Will there be backup timing? Yes, we will have a camera recording the Finish Line and Clock, as well as collecting tags from each bib in the chute.

Will food and water be available before the Run? Yes, we will have some free snacks, soda and water available in the big barn next to the Registration Desk.

Will food and water be available after the Run? Yes, there will be a food available for purchase from The UHS Kitchen.

What if it rains? The UHS Trail Run will go forward rain or shine, but if conditions are deemed to be too dangerous to safely operate the run, that decision will be communicated to all registered runners as soon as possible.

When does the course close? The course will close at 12:00pm.

How does the Raffle work? Each adult will receive 3 raffle tickets with their registration and each child 1 raffle ticket. The Raffle items will be displayed by the Big Barn. You will place your raffle ticket into the bag in front the item you wish to win. We will draw a winner for each item at the end of the Run.

Can I purchase additional raffle tickets? Yes, additional tickets can be bought when you register, from the UHS front office or at the Trail Run.

What happens to the proceeds from the UHS Trail Run? Proceeds from UHS Trail Run will go towards school programs, including our sports and arts programs.
