Thanks to the incredible support of our community and more than 500 registered runners, we have moved the event to a larger venue that can safely accommodate all participants while providing additional parking.

Race Day Schedule

7:30 - 8:55 AM – Bib Number & T-Shirt Pickup, Parking lot Corner at 4001 Eisenhower Ave
(Pickup location is marked on the attached event map.)

9:00 AM – 5K Race Start
(Start line is visible from the parking lot.)

9:10 AM – 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk Start

10:15 AM – Awards Ceremony

T-Shirt Information

As noted during registration, participants who registered on or before May 28 will receive their race T-shirt at packet pickup on race day.

Participants who registered after May 28 will have their race T-shirt mailed following the event.

Additional One Thousand Schools T-shirts will be available to purchase at the event   and will be delivered after the race. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Finisher Medals & Certificates

The first 315 finishers in the 5K will receive a finisher medal.

All other runners will receive an official Certificate of Completion, regardless of race placement. Everyone will receive personal official race times through our timing partner, DC Road Runners. 

Merchandise & Special Items

One Thousand Schools water bottles, hats, and copies of Green Oranges: A Journey into Honduras to Find Redemption, Hope, and Transformation by Shin Fujiyama will be available to purchase at the event. 100% of proceeds and donations at the event will benefit One Thousand Schools!

Horario del día de la carrera

7:30-8:55 a. m. – Recogida de dorsales y camisetas (esquina del estacionamiento en 4001 Eisenhower Ave).
(El punto de recogida está señalado en el mapa del evento adjunto).

9:00 a. m. – Inicio de la carrera 5K
(La línea de salida es visible desde el estacionamiento).

9:10 a. m. – Inicio de la carrera/caminata recreativa de 1 milla

10:15 a. m. – Ceremonia de premiación

Información sobre las camisetas

Tal como se indicó durante la inscripción, los participantes que se registraron el 28 de mayo o antes recibirán su camiseta de la carrera al recoger su paquete el mismo día del evento.

A los participantes que se inscribieron después del 28 de mayo se les enviará su camiseta por correo tras finalizar el evento.

Se podrán adquirir camisetas adicionales de Mil Escuelas durante el evento y se entregarán después de la carrera. Gracias por su comprensión y apoyo.

Medallas y certificados de finalización

Los primeros 315 corredores en completar la 5K recibirán una medalla de finalista.

Todos los participantes recibirán un certificado oficial de finalización, independientemente de su posición en la carrera. Todos obtendrán sus tiempos oficiales personales a través de nuestro colaborador de cronometraje, DC Road Runners.

Artículos especiales y mercancía

Durante el evento, se podrán adquirir mediante donación botellas de agua y gorras de One Thousand Schools, así como ejemplares del libro *Green Oranges: A Journey into Honduras to Find Redemption, Hope, and Transformation*, de Shin Fujiyama. ¡El 100% de lo recaudado y las donaciones en el evento se destinarán a One Thousand Schools!
