Lace Up for the Westminster 5K!
Join us for a fun, family-friendly race that’s open to all ages and welcomes both the Westminster community and the greater Annandale community! With a fun run for our youngest Griffins, a 1K race, and a 5K race, there’s something for everyone.
This year’s race supports our Dream to Reality Annual Giving Campaign, with a goal of $25,000. Every grade that raises $500 or more will earn a dress-down day, and the student who raises the most money will win a special prize! Plus, enjoy cash prizes for the top male and female 5K runners and other exciting giveaways.
In honor of Veterans Day, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Warrior Canine Connection. Warrior Canine Connection enlists recovering Veterans to train service dogs for fellow Veterans through its groundbreaking Mission-Based Trauma Recovery model—fostering healing, community, and renewed purpose—while providing critically needed support at no cost to the recipients, making donations essential to sustaining this transformative work.
The first 100 registrants will receive a special giveaway, and we’ll have race t-shirts for sale along with exclusive blazer pins for Westminster students who cross the finish line.

We invite you to partner with us as a sponsor of the Westminster School 5K Walk and Run, an exciting community event that supports our students and teachers by funding programs that enhance learning and enrichment opportunities. Your sponsorship not only promotes your business or honors your family, but also supports Westminster’s mission to present challenge, build character, and instill confidence in our young people.
The 5K will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Westminster School in Annandale, Virginia. Festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. with the 1K Fun Run, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9:20 a.m., and the Fun Run Obstacle Course for our youngest participants at 9:30 a.m.—all featuring our beloved mascot, Grizzie! Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers of the 5K.
Your sponsorship helps to defray the cost of organizing the event. Funds received from sponsorships are used to purchase t‐shirts for registered race participants, fund awards, and provide complimentary drinks and snacks for each race participant. Any additional money from sponsorships will go toward our event fundraising goal of $25,000.
There are various levels of sponsorship for the Westminster School 5K. Size and placement of logos on t‐shirts and the website are based on sponsorship level. DEADLINE FOR SPONSORSHIP SIGN-UP IS OCTOBER 25th!

Miscellaneous Information
- The 5K blazer pin is eligible for 1k and 5k students, and is for sale after the race.
- Shoe dangles are only available for students who are participating in the 5K and already have a pin from last year.
- First 100 check-ins receive a special giveaway.
- There is a limited supply of t-shirts for sale.
- Playground will be open and supervised during the 5K.
