The GFWC Ashcake Woman's Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Ashland Harvest Run (AHR). The following factors contributed to this difficult decision: current risks, safety concerns, and future unknowns due to Covid19 as well as CSX Railroad construction along the racecourse.
The AHR would like to thank those that have already registered. There will be information forthcoming as to how your paid registration fee will be handled.
Our mission is to continue to support our race benefactors for 2020. This year we have chosen the Arc of Hanover, Hanover Interfaith Free Clinics, and a small non-profit named We Are Unique. We have set up a GoFundMe account to provide you with an opportunity to contribute to the charities. Please go to this link to our GoFundme charity account to donate: https://bit.ly/3erD476
A little bit about each organization: The ARC of Hanover is the leading advocacy, service, and awareness organization for citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hanover County. We Are Unique is a non-profit group of adults with disabilities that volunteer with activities such as packaging and supplying food items to groups in the community. The Hanover Interfaith Free Clinics provide patients with improved healthcare, medications, and referrals for diagnostic testing and specialty care.
We appreciate the support of our business partners and their generosity to the AHR in years past. We hope you will patronize them, especially during this challenging time. Their names may be found below.
Thank you again for running our past races, and we look forward to your participation next year. Mark your calendars now for Oct 16, 2021. We will see you then!
