Kids Fun Run
Description
Join us for our 46th year racing the rails in lovely Ashland, Virginia. All proceeds benefit the Hanover Arts & Activities Center. For this year’s event, we are partnered with Arsenal Events and will have in person and virtual options.
Come race the rail at one of Central Virginia’s longest established road races. This 10K RAILS to TRAILS race is a favorite spring ritual for runners near and far. Start and finish "on the tracks" in our picturesque railroad town, known as the "Center of the Universe"! Events include a 10k, 5K Walk/Run, Kids Fun Run, and the COTU Challenge (race both the 5K and 10K!). Stay after the race and enjoy all that Ashland has to offer.
Packet pickup in person at Hanover Arts & Activities Center, March 21st 5-7pm and March 22nd beginning at 7am.
AWARDS
First, second, and third place in each gender for the 10K
First place in each gender for the 5k and COTU Challenge
Prizes for all Fun Run finishers.
TECH-SHIRTS
Shirt availability and sizes cannot be guaranteed if registered after March 4th.
Virtual runners will need to pickup shirt during packet pickup. Shirts for virtual non-local entries can be shipped for flat rate of $10.
$5 discount for no shirt option.
The 5k course is suitable for wheelchairs and stroller. The 10k course is NOT suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
There are 2 water stations along the course.

Virtual Participants
Thank you for running with us virtually! You can run your Virtual 10K, 5K or COTU Challenge any time before the end of the day on May 14th and anywhere you'd like! Track your distance and using your preferred app or device and submit your finish time HERE.
Results must be submitted on May 14th! If you do not wish to submit your virtual finish time, you do not have to submit a time. Have a great race!

The 5k course is suitable for wheelchairs and stroller. The 10k course is NOT suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.

Kids Fun Run
Great for young kids and we encourage parents to run along with your child
RRR 5K
Out and back on a flat road, ideal for walking, running, strollers and wheelchairs.
Railroad Run 10K Rails to Trails
This route is a beautiful mix of roads and gravel trails through the woods. There are roots and some twists and turns, please use caution and no strollers or wheelchairs.
