Event Description
Beautiful views of the Massanutten Mountain Ridge greet you from the starting line of our newest Trail Event. Choose from a challenging 25K with 1700+ feet of elevation gain or a chiller 8 Miler with 600 gain. Both courses start along the river and make their way through the valley passing views of the surrounding mountains. Once the climbing starts you'll find yourself in a beautiful forest with the occasional view popping out from the canopy. The trails are mostly smooth rolling single track but you will find some double track and slightly technical sections along the way. The distances split when the route comes by the start area. 8 Milers make their way up to the finish and the 25K heads into the woods for the steepest climbs and descents of the race!

SHIRTS!
Our comfortable T-shirts are locally printed, cotton/poly blend, and available to order until April 27th.
FINISHER MEDALS!
Everyone who at least finishes the 8 mile course will receive a locally made sustainable wood medal.
AWARDS!
Top 3 male and female finishers in both races will earn custom overall awards. Didn't make the podium? No worries, we'll also have 1st place M & F age group awards available.
AID!
We will have limited aid around mile 3 and full aid around mile 8. Refreshments will also be provided at the finish line. We try to limit waste so please bring your own cups/bottles.

For 2027 we will have 5 State Park Trail Races across NC and VA! All 5 will offer a 25k as well as a shorter distance with a hike option. (Some events will also have longer distances)
If you sign up for at least 4 events and send us a message with your size, you'll be eligible for a series long sleeve!
If you complete at least 4 events and send us a message, you'll be eligible for a series award!
NEW for 2027... 25K SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP!
For every 25k completed you will accumulate points.
(Example: if a 25k has 100 participants and you finish 1st you receive 100 points. For 2nd you would get 99. If another 25k has 50 participants and you finish 1st you receive 50 points. If you were 4th you would get 47.)
The male and female with the highest points at the end of the season will receive a custom award/prize. Also the male and female with the highest points in the Grand Masters age group of 50+ will receive custom awards/prizes.
