Description
The 8th annual Run for the Ribbon is sure to be a fun morning for runners, walkers, children, and adults alike! The race is a unique 5.9 kilometers (3.66 miles) to honor James McClure, who lost his battle to Prostate Cancer at the age of 59. All of the proceeds from the race are donated directly to ZERO: the End of Prostate Cancer (http://zerocancer.org/). Over the past 7 years, more than 550 runners have worked together to bring ZERO $15,000 closer to a cure for Prostate Cancer. The race is held at Chet Hobert Park in Berryville, Virginia. The course is flat and fast. There is also a kids' 0.59-kilometer (0.366-mile) run held after the main race. Awards and random raffle prizes are distributed after both races have concluded. See you there!
