Event Information
Join us for the 7th annual Shamrock 4 Mile presented by Skip Slocum & Associates, Roots Realty Group! The Shamrock 4 Miler is the 2nd event of the 2025 RunAbout Race Series. Join us at Blacksburg High School on Saturday, March 22 at 9 AM.
The Lucky Leprechaun Dash presented by Adjust NRV is a 1-kilometer race on the Blacksburg High School XC course at 10:30 am. It is a free event for all the young runners!
For those unable to join us in person, the Virtual Shamrock 4 Miler allows participation from anywhere!
Start the spring racing season out strong and grab a PR for a unique race distance!
Race Day Schedule (Saturday March 22)
- 7:45 - 8:50 AM: Packet Pickup on-site @ Blacksburg High School
- 9 AM: Shamrock 4 mile Start
- 10:30 AM: Lucky Leprechaun Dash presented by Adjust NRV Start
Awards
Awards can be picked up after the race by the medal table near the finish line
Awards will not be mailed
Shamrock 4 Miler:
- All finishers receive a commemorative medal
- Overall: The top 3 male and female finishers will receive an award.
- Age group: Awards 3 deep - male and female - in the following categories:
- 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 61-64, 65+
- Best Costume Leprechaun - wins a free pair of shoes from Blacksburg's amazing running store, RunAbout Sports!

- Saturday, March 22 on-site @ BHS, 7:45 - 8:50 AM

Course Information
The Lucky Leprechaun Dash presented by Adjust NRV is 1 kilometer (0.62 miles) and takes place on the Blacksburg High School cross country course. The loop is all grass with some steep hills and tight turns.
Strollers are allowed on the road course. However, dogs are not allowed on the course so please leave them at home or with a non-running spectator.
