Event Description
Step Forward for Mental Health Awareness
Join us in May for Mindful Miles, a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk dedicated to supporting Mental Health Awareness Month. This event is more than just a race — it’s a movement to bring our community together, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and remind one another that you are not alone.
Whether you run or walk, every step you take helps spark important conversations, foster understanding, and promote emotional well-being in Caroline County and our surrounding area. Together, we can create a safe, supportive space where people feel seen, heard, and encouraged to seek help when they need it most.
Join us in honoring the strength it takes to keep moving forward — for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for our community. Lace up, breathe deep, and take a mindful mile toward hope, healing, and awareness.
Packet Pick Up + Awards
Two Packet Pick Up Options Are Available:
Friday, May 1st from 3-6pm
Caroline Family YMCA, 17422 Library Blvd. Ruther Glen, VA
Saturday, May 2nd from 7am-8:25am
Town Hall, 117 Butler St., Bowling Green, VA
Your bib number will be assigned to you at packet pick up.
5K Awards
Overall Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Finishers - based on gun time
Age Group Awards will be given to the Top Male and Top Female Finisher in the following age groups: 19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ - based on chip time
1 Mile Awards
Overall Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Finishers - based on gun time
Age Group Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Finishers in the following age groups: 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12 - based on chip time

Street Parking will be available on race day.
There are also parking lots available at Town Hall and on Chase Street.

7:55am - National Anthem
8am - 1 Mile Start
8:30am - 5K Start
9:15am - 1 Mile Awards Ceremony
9:30am - 5K Awards Ceremony
