Greasy-Gooney 10K

Come on out to Warren County, Virginia (an hour west of the DC metropolitan area) for the Shenandoah Valley's most scenic road race! The 26th running of the Greasy-Gooney 10K will take place at 9:00 AM on Saturday 26 October 2024 in Browntown, about eight miles south of Front Royal. Held at the peak of the fall foliage season, our somewhat challenging 6.2 mile road course loops through the foothills of the Blue Ridge, treating runners to gorgeous views of the mountains and countryside. We'll have awards for the top three overall and for the top three in mostly five-year age groups. Entry fees are $30 early or $40 race day with our race premium (a royal blue beanie with the race logo embroidered in white) or $24 early/$34 race day without the premium, plus we offer a $2 discount to members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners running club. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Browntown Community Center Association and the Humane Society of Warren County. Runners of all abilities are welcome to participate!
