Please try to pick up your bibs on Wednesday if you can because race mornings are always hectic and it will help us start on time on Thursday.

Founded in 1989, the Virginia Run Turkey Trot welcomes participants into the holiday season by promoting a spirit of community.

This year, we invite runners and families back to this beloved tradition, where we will gather for a special day of turkey hats, dogs with feathered coats, and the excitement of the race. But make no mistake: We intend to combine our fun with addressing the needs of less fortunate families near and far. The Trot has raised roughly 1 million dollars for charity since its inception. Held on Thanksgiving, it is not just a race, but a reminder of what really matters. We hope you can join us.

THE AMERICAN BOY PROJECT is a 5013-c dedicated to helping anyone struggling with addiction. Suffering from addiction takes many forms, including mental health challenges, financial ruin, ridicule from society, and even the very real risk of death. In difficult times like these, we need to confront such problems in a compassionate and non-judgemental way. We issue treatment scholarships to candidates with no means, allowing for them to receive or extend the quality help they so desperately need. This drastically reduces the chance that relapse and overdose will occur. Through charity events, heartfelt correspondence, and most importantly restorative action, we aid families in navigating this unimaginable journey with the support from an organization that knows their pain all too well.
