FHS Sources of Strength Virtual 5K: One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Loudoun

Freedom High School Sources of Strength presents: One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Loudoun!

This event is a Virtual 5K race that will enable students and the greater FHS school community to share in the importance of mental and physical well-being while giving back to the community. In partnership with Dulles South Food Pantry, students will have an opportunity to donate resources and support in the form of time and energy on the day of the race to the organization. While a donation is not required, there will be opportunities to donate food on the day of the race. 

FHS will identify individual routes for runners/walkers to take at their own pace between 8 AM and 6 PM on April 17, 2021. We ask that students identify which protective factor (from the Sources of Strength wheel) that they are running or walking for and why. Students are encouraged to take photos and videos from their experience and tag us on Instagram. 

A t-shirt giveaway is included in the participation fee and all proceeds will go to Dulles South Food Pantry!
