THE HAVEN'S RUN FOR HOME 8K Run / 4K Walk

DATE: Saturday March 8th, 2025, 8:00 am

The 15th Annual Haven Run For Home will be hosted on Saturday, March 8th from Charlottesville's Downtown Mall near 1st Street, ending at the Ting Pavilion. Afterwards, all participants are encouraged to enjoy our legendary post-race breakfast at The Haven. Virtual 8K run and 4K walk options are available where you can run your race remotely, allowing you to run and walk in your own space while still supporting The Haven and our community. 

KIDS' PRICING:

Special kids' pricing is available for ages 10 and under. The price change ($10 off) will be reflected at registration check out.

RACE PACKET PICK UP:

At packet pick-up, you’ll receive all of your race materials, including bib and special Haven socks. Virtual participants do not need to pick up a race packet, but please feel free to come by to pick up Haven socks!

More details on packet pick-up will be available in the coming weeks. 

RACE DAY INFORMATION:

What to know for Saturday's race:

1. Race materials will be available at packet pick-up (details above). All in-person participants are highly encouraged to pick your packets up before the day of the race. 
2. On race day, we suggest that you park at the Market Street or Water Street garages.
3. Bathrooms will be available on race day at the Pavilion at the east end of the mall. Please note that the start is past The Haven, farther down the west end of the mall, near 1st Street.
4. We ask that you please wear your race number VISIBLE somewhere on your FRONT, so the mat can read your chip.  

All participants, whether virtual or in-person, are eligible to receive special "Haven" socks. The socks will be available at the race packet pick-up at The Haven.

ABOUT THE HAVEN

All race proceeds benefit THE HAVEN in downtown Charlottesville. The Haven is a safe and welcoming day shelter and housing resource center for people currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Serving over 85 people daily, The Haven provides respite for the weary and transformation for the ready.

C-VILLE-ATHON

The Haven 8K Run is one of the events in the C-VILLE-athon series and is traditionally thought of as a warm up race for the Charlottesville 10 Miler. Register for the Charlottesville 10 Miler at www.cvilletenmiler.com. For the 2025 C-VILLE-athon series, sign up online at www.runsignup.com/cvilleathon and complete at least 26.2 miles in select non-profit races, including The Haven's Run for Home, to receive an official C-VILLE-athon technical running shirt if you submit your checklist.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPANT NOTES:

For virtual races, you can run an 8K or walk a 4K remotely in your own space anytime between March 8th, 2025 and March 9th, 2025. Unfortunately, virtual racers are not eligible for prizes.
