It's our 13th Annual Cookie Classic Run!
January 16th, 2027, Saturday 9am 1246 Dismal Swamp Canal Trail
This multi-distance family friendly run/walk event is a great way to launch the 2027 cookie season & start runners off on their 2027 running year!
All distances are out and back, on flat asphalt at Chesapeake's Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, with Girl Scout Cookies waiting for you at the finish!
Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, meet new people, and have fun!
All abilities welcomed. We can't wait to see you at the starting line!

- Conquering the Cookie Event Series: Earn Bling Finisher Gift by completing challenge running events. This is a 2-part in-person only run challenge; Runners complete 1 distance in Chesapeake VA then 1 distance in Troutville VA)

Please note Pets or Comfort Animals of any kind are not permitted on course unless they are ADA-compliant certified service animals.

FROM THE PENINSULA

Take exit 264 for I-664 S toward Downtown Newport News/Chesapeake/Suffolk
•
Continue onto I-664 S Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel Take exit 15B for I-64W toward Chesapeake/VA Beach

Take exit 296 for US-17 N/US-17 BUS S toward Portsmouth/Deep Creek
•
Turn right onto US-17 BUS S/George Washington Hwy N (signs for Elizabeth City)
•
Turn left onto George Washington Hwy S
•
Bear/Turn right to stay on George Washington Hwy S
•
After approximately 3.5 miles, you will see the park on your right - just before you hit the US-17 Bypass towards Elizabeth City
FROM SUFFOLK
•
Take the Interstate I-664 S toward Norfolk,
•
Take exit 15B for I-64W toward Chesapeake/VA Beach
•
Take exit 296 for US-17 N/US-17 BUS S toward Portsmouth/Deep Creek
•
Turn right onto US-17 BUS S/George Washington Hwy N (signs for Elizabeth City)
•
Turn left onto George Washington Hwy S
•
Immediately past the bridge, Bear/Turn right to stay on George Washington Hwy S
•
After approximately 3.5 miles, you will see the park on your right - just before you hit the US-17 Bypass towards Elizabeth City
FROM VIRGINIA BEACH
•
Take the Interstate 64 E toward Chesapeake/Suffolk
•
Take exit 291B to merge onto I-464 S/VA-168 S toward US-17 S/Elizabeth City/Outer Banks.
•
Continue onto VA-168 S.
•
Take exit 15B toward US-17 S/Elizabeth City (Toll Road)
•
Follow Dominion Blvd N and George Washington Hwy S to George Washington Hwy (US-17 Bus).
•
Turn right onto George Washington Hwy S. The park entrance is on your left.
