Description
The 2nd Annual CEA Run4Fun 5k & Inaugural Walk4Paws 1 miler will take place Saturday, October 4, 2014. The 5k is a flat and fast course through the county government complex, the perfect place to set a personal best.
New for this year we have added the Walk4Paws 1 miler for you and your favorite dog(s). Bring your dog(s) out for the blessing of the animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi Day and then walk a mile together. Chesterfield County Animal Control will also be holding a no fee adoption day and open house beginning at 10:30. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Chesterfield Humane Society.
Register before September 20th to guarantee a race T-shirt for all 5k participants and a T-shirt and bandanna for the 1 miler, no guarantee after September 20, 2014. Whether you want to run/walk the 5k or walk the 1 miler with your dog or do both, come out and enjoy the festivities.
This is a rain or shine event. 5k is geared toward all runners and walkers alike. Lucky Foot Gift Certificates to each Male/Female 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers of each age bracket and Overall Male/Female 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers.
Registration is August 1 through October 1, 2014. There will be late registration the day of the event for a fee of $30.00 (5k); $25.00 (1 mile) and $40.00 (Combo) plus fees.
